🌑♐️ New Moon in Sagittarius – 🌌 The Galactic Threshold

LUNA NUEVA EN SAGITARIO - EL CENTRO DE LA GALAXIA
LUNA NUEVA EN SAGITARIO - EL CENTRO DE LA GALAXIA

The year 2025 has been a year of closure, the end of an era for humanity. And this is no ordinary ending: it is the end of everything we have known, of the systems that have governed us for generations—the medical, educational, governmental, financial systems, even our belief systems—everything. We are entering a new stage, a golden age, on a higher octave, and none of us who are incarnated here truly knows what it will be like.

It has been a very difficult year for everyone: abrupt endings in our relationships, in ideologies and paradigms we once identified with, and deep falls into a void where we no longer even knew who we were. We have had to rediscover and redefine ourselves, emptying out everything we thought we were, dying to the character we identified with from the moment we were born. And now, it is time for a new stage, for a true reset.

This December 19th and 20th, we experience the last significant event of the year, with a New Moon in Sagittarius, through which we close this cycle with a golden flourish. Not only does this lunation align with the winter solstice in the Northern Hemisphere and the summer solstice in the Southern Hemisphere, but it also opens a direct Portal to the Center of our Galaxy. In this article, I explain everything.

♐ Sagittarius at its final degree: a crisis of meaning.

Sagittarius represents the search for meaning, truth, purpose, and expansion. But in its final degrees, that search reaches a limit: it is no longer about finding yet another truth, but about questioning and discerning which beliefs and worldviews are truly worth continuing to uphold.

This New Moon takes place in the last degrees of Sagittarius (28°24’♐️), an area associated with the closing of cycles related to beliefs, philosophies, and ways of understanding the world.

Because of this, collectively, this lunation may be felt as:

  • spiritual exhaustion,

  • being in a state of emptiness,

  • rejection of absolute truths,

  • a sense of being “between phases.”

It is not a loss of faith. It is the maturation of consciousness.

🌌 The Galactic Center

In astrology, the Galactic Center is located in the final degrees of Sagittarius. This point represents the energetic core of our galaxy—the place from which a higher intelligence emanates, one that transcends individual experience. While the planets describe psychological processes and human experiences, the Galactic Center points to moments of profound recalibration of consciousness, in which old beliefs, absolute truths, and meaning-making systems begin to dissolve, opening us to new frequencies of awareness and the possibility of aligning with a greater order, even when we do not yet understand its form.

With this New Moon aligned and in resonance with this point, the emphasis is not on creating something new, but on releasing old truths, beliefs, ideologies, and narratives that no longer sustain life. This is why this lunation marks the definitive closing of an era and a massive awakening of consciousness.

This is a perfect moment to ask yourself and reflect on which beliefs and ideologies no longer serve the life you wish to create.

In summary, the Galactic Center represents:

  • The source of cosmic information

  • An intelligence that precedes the ego and personality

  • A pulse that deprograms false narratives

  • The place where individual consciousness realigns with a greater order

When a New Moon is activated there, it is not so much about “manifesting” something, but about emptying oneself in order to receive a new truth.

🌑 The Night Within the Night: New Moon and the Solstice

The winter solstice marks the moment of maximum solar darkness in the Northern Hemisphere. It is the instant when the Sun appears to stand still, to symbolically die, before beginning its slow return.

The New Moon, in turn, is the absence of lunar light: a psychic void, a blank canvas, ready to manifest something new.

When both events coincide or closely align, what many traditions have recognized as an initiatory night takes place:

  • there is no external guidance,

  • there is no immediate clarity,

  • there is no visible direction.

Only presence in the darkness remains.

This type of alignment does not bring spectacular revelations. It brings silence, pause, and a suspension of meaning. And far from being a mistake, this is the necessary condition for something more authentic to be born.

This New Moon closes an entire book. And it does so quietly, on the longest night of the year, reminding us that all true light is first born in darkness.

  • It does not ask for answers. It asks for presence.

  • It does not demand faith. It asks for honesty.

  • It does not announce the path. It invites us to walk without a map, trusting that when the light returns, we will no longer be the same.

🌟 Which signs will feel this lunation the most?

The mutable signs, especially in the final degrees (Sagittarius, Gemini, Pisces, Virgo), whether as Sun, Moon, or Ascendant placements. And if you have planets in the final degrees of Sagittarius, you will feel it strongly as well.

Sagittarius natives are the epicenter of this lunation. Those who will feel it most strongly are those with:

  • Sun, Moon, Ascendant, or planets between 20° and 29° of Sagittarius

  • Especially 27°–29° (the Galactic zone)

How it may manifest:

  • A crisis of meaning

  • The collapse of beliefs

  • Spiritual exhaustion

  • A sense of “I’m no longer who I used to be”

  • A need for silence and retreat

For Sagittarius, this is not about expansion—it is about deprogramming.

Gemini, as the opposite nodal axis of Sagittarius.

Gemini will experience this as:

  • a reorganization of the mind,

  • a shift in the way of communicating,

  • a need to say less and listen more,

  • a movement from monologue to dialogue.

Highly mental Geminis may experience:

  • confusion,

  • overload,

  • cognitive fatigue.

Creative tension. During this period, Virgo may experience:

  • inner disorder,

  • a crisis of control,

  • a feeling that “what is familiar no longer works,”

  • a need to release hyper-rationality.

If Virgo tries to organize this mentally, it suffers. If it accepts the mystery, it evolves greatly.

Pisces is the most sensitive sign, connected to Neptune and the Galactic Center.

Pisces may experience:

  • mystical openings,

  • intense dreams,

  • heightened empathy,

  • emotional dissolution,

  • a need for energetic boundaries.

Pisces does not need to go “higher”; it needs to come down to Earth and ground what it perceives.

♒️ Aquarius is also a sign that will feel the influence of this alignment, especially due to the frequency this sign represents.

Aquarius and this lunation share:

  • collective vision

  • networks

  • transpersonal consciousness

Aquarius may experience:

  • activation of a collective mission

  • a desire to step beyond the ego and be of service

  • new, unexpected connections

“I open myself to remembering the truth my soul already knows, even if it challenges everything I believe.”

🌿 Tips for navigating this closure.

The portal opened by this New Moon, aligned with the Galactic Center and the solstice, does not manifest through spectacular external events; it filters quietly into the simplest moments of daily life.

  1. Internal exhaustion. Many will experience a deep inner fatigue—not physical tiredness, but a weariness of being that we can no longer sustain. Allow yourself to rest, to contemplate each moment, and to be in absolute presence.

  2. Small ego crises. During this period, mini crises of the self may arise. They don’t always appear as major existential crises. Sometimes they show up as sudden disinterest or loss of enthusiasm for projects, ideas, or narratives that once gave meaning. This does not indicate an inner void, but the end of a stage of beliefs.

  3. Need for silence and simplicity. This is an ideal time to find beauty and meaning in the everyday, in the simplicity of life. The Japanese film "Perfect Days" , is recommended, as it invites reflection on how to perceive beauty in the world around us.

  4. Changes in relationships. The need to “be right” or uphold an image begins to fade. Presence starts to matter more than words. Some relationships may cool, others deepen, and others simply transform without conflict.

  5. Dreams, intuitions, and subtle signs. During this period, the inner world becomes more active:

    • intense dreams

    • symbolic images

    • memories of past lives

    • intuitions difficult to put into words

These experiences do not always deliver clear messages. Sometimes they only leave a feeling, a vague but persistent orientation. The key is not to interpret them, but to let them settle.

  6. Feeling “in between places.” A common experience is the sensation of being between worlds—feeling that the old no longer fits and the new is not yet defined. This can create restlessness, but it is a natural state in initiatory processes. The mistake would be to fill it too quickly with new certainties.

This portal asks you to inhabit not-knowing—to learn to embody uncertainty.

This is not a New Moon for asking for concrete things. It is a New Moon for:

  • letting go of old vows (conscious or unconscious)

  • renouncing truths that no longer resonate

  • listening without trying to understand

Ritually, it favors:

  • symbolic fasts (from information, from noise)

  • automatic writing

  • sky observation

  • fire work + silent intention

🌌 Closure

We are going through a “fertile void.” Something is being rearranged beneath consciousness, like a seed in the dark soil of winter. And when the light returns—because it always does—it will not be to resume what came before, but to live life from a place that is more honest, simpler, and truer.

“Not everyone crosses the threshold, but those who feel it will never look back.”
